Main Attractions Jordan is a place rich in archeological treasures from the early bronze ages to the ancient Roman, Byzantine and Nabataen ruins in Petra and Jerash. Madaba, which has the oldest mosaic map of the Holy Land and the famous Mount Nebo. Those who have seen the movie "Lawrence of Arabia" will remember the magnificent desert scenery with towering cliffs of weathered stone in Wadi Rum. For those interested in diving and snorkeling, the gulf of Aqaba is famous for being home to the finest marine life in the World.
